Now in its eighth year, this program honors members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and action toward sustainable development.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The companies selected as Steel Sustainability Champions 2025 are:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aceros AZA S.A.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ArcelorMittal<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BlueScope Steel Limited<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EMSTEEL<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HBIS Group Co., Ltd.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HYUNDAI Steel Company<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">JFE Steel Corporation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">JSW Steel Limited<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nippon Steel Corporation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nucor Corporation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">POSCO Holdings<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tata Steel<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tenaris<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ternium<\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is noteworthy that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tatasteeluk.com\/\">Tata Steel<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tenaris.com\">Tenaris<\/a> have earned this title for the eighth consecutive year and have been on the champions list since the program&#8217;s inception in 2018. In the first year, only six members were recognized, but this number increased to 14 in 2025, reflecting the steady growth of the program.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Criteria for selection as a Steel Sustainability Champion include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Signing the worldsteel Sustainability Charter: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants must show commitment to 20 criteria across environmental, social, governance, and economic (ESGE) dimensions.<\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Providing Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Companies must submit data covering more than 60% of their crude steel production, and this data must not be older than five years.<\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Recognition in worldsteel programs: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Companies must either be nominated in one of six Steelie Awards categories or be recognized in the worldsteel Safety and Health Recognition program.<\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Certificates were awarded during the Special General Meeting (SGM) of board members in April.
