Steel consumption in many key #steel markets is showing a downward trend. This has put significant pressure on steel market prices and pushed countries toward export markets \u2014 especially those unable to reduce production in line with falling domestic demand. Most countries facing declining domestic steel consumption have high export capacities, creating a major risk for the healthy functioning of markets and global steel trade.
