According to the latest statistics, China remains the largest steel producer with 77.1 million tons, although this represents a 6.1% decrease compared to September of the previous year. This decline could be attributed to factors such as reduced domestic demand and environmental policies.
India, with 11.7 million tons of production and a 0.2% decrease, ranks second. The country has managed to keep its production level nearly stable. The United States and Japan follow, with 6.7 and 6.6 million tons of production, respectively. U.S. production has increased by 1.2%, while Japan has experienced a 5.8% decline. Turkey, with a 6.5% growth and 3.1 million tons of production, is one of the countries showing positive performance.
However, Iran is facing significant challenges. The country’s steel production has reached 1.5 million tons, reflecting a sharp 41.2% decrease compared to the previous year. This decline may be attributed to economic issues, energy shortages, and international restrictions.
