Turkey’s share in U.S. rebar imports decreased from 45.2% in January to July 2020 to 7.8% in January to July 2025.
In the same period, U.S. rebar imports from Turkey dropped from 298,000 tons to 47,000 tons.
In 2020, Turkey was by far the largest source of U.S. rebar imports. The United States imported 426,000 tons out of a total of 976,000 tons of rebar from Turkey, giving Turkey a 44% share of total U.S. rebar imports.
In January to July 2025, U.S. rebar imports from Turkey stood at 47,000 tons, accounting for 7.8% of the total.In January to July 2025, Turkey became the sixth-largest source of U.S. rebar imports, after Vietnam, Egypt, Algeria, Mexico, and Bulgaria.
