According to Steel World Review, the 28th Conference of Steel Industry Researchers, titled “Steel Symposium 405,” will be held from October 27 to 29, 2026, in the city of Isfahan. The event is organized by the Iranian Iron and Steel Association.
Steel Symposium 405 will be held under the theme “Synergy of the Scientific-Industrial Ecosystem to Accelerate Green Steel Production,” and interested parties have been invited to actively participate and present their latest research achievements and scientific and technical experiences at this scientific conference.
The annual organization of steel symposiums by the Iranian Iron and Steel Association, generally held with the support of steel companies and universities across the country, aims to create a suitable environment for establishing communication between stakeholders in the country’s steel industry and professors, graduate students, and researchers in this field, with the aim of addressing existing challenges and further developing the industry.
The topics of the 28th Steel Symposium include effective policies for the reconstruction of steel industries toward optimization and competitive production; policy, market, and innovation ecosystem in green steel production; energy, resources, and greenhouse gas emissions reduction toward green steel production; and materials, recycling, and the circular economy in the steel industry.
Digitalization, Industrial Revolutions 4 and 5, and artificial intelligence in green steel production; innovation in process and equipment technologies for green steel; innovation in the steel production supply chain, logistics, and economics; human resources, education, and knowledge transfer toward green steel production; and new innovations in the production and use of third-generation and beyond steels are also among the topics of this symposium.
Modeling and simulation of processes throughout the steel production cycle and new research innovations in the fields of iron extraction, mechanical and physical properties, thermomechanical processing to enhance mechanical properties, melting and casting, forming, corrosion, surface and coating, welding, refractory materials, new applications of steel, and other related fields are also included among the topics of this event.Alongside the symposium, an exhibition titled “International Steel Exhibition 1405” will also be held, featuring the latest industrial and research achievements in various fields of software and hardware used in the steel industry and related industries.
Steel producers, suppliers of raw materials, knowledge-based companies and technical and engineering service providers in the steel industry, transportation companies, production and scientific associations and syndicates, and companies providing machinery, equipment, and consumable materials are the target groups of this exhibition.
